Monthly Energy Update for August 2025 – Watch Now!
Every month I prepare a reading to help guide us all though the month ahead. This month while not dramatic (thank goodness), is still important and it will definitely present us with a bit of a challenge.

Happy Tuesday,
There is a lot of interest on the ‘interweb’ about which Tarot card represents which star sign, and there are many different ways of deciding how that is decided upon.
August is mostly the month of Leo, becoming Virgo on the 23rd.
I know this, not because I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of Astrology but because the 23rd is Geoffs (my husband) birthday.
Geoff was born not only on the day Leo changes to Virgo but also on the hour.
Which makes my hubby a very pedantic lion.
Sigh!
Most of the Internet, and yes AI (you know how I feel about that), will tell you that the sign of Leo is represented by the card – Strength.
Mostly based on the fact the traditional card has a lion on it (see the pic below).
Hmmm!
The card shows the Lion being tamed and subdued by the purity and strength of the higher self, shown as a women in white.
Nope, I just don’t agree”
That doesn’t work with Leo, because in my experience, a proper Leo, either a Leo lion chap or a lioness, won’t be subdued by anyone or anything.
I wish……Grrrrr!
Leo is the boss fire sign – of all the fire signs!
Leos love to lead, perform, talk, be admired and they love to receive the praise and respect of others.
They are naturally regal, and always assume a boss-like stance in any relationship.
The zodiac sign of the Lion should therefore be a King, not a lion turning into a pussy cat.
The Tarot card of Leo is very definitely the Tarot King of Fire.
The rock star – King of Wands.
And, I will also add into evidence the fact that my hubby also happens to be a long term professional guitar player.
I rest my case – your honour!
Tee hee! 😉
