Here’s a little ceremony to try to help you do just that.
This really should be performed on May the 1st, but it’s not crucial. Its the energy in which it is performed that is more important.
You’ll need a candle, one that is not so big that it can’t be allowed to burn down. A white candle will represent purity and purification and a green candle will represent growth and abundance.
A ceramic dish to hold ash
A pen and paper (not a screen)
A small pot of earth or compost
A seed of a plant that is symbolic of your wish.
1) Light the candle
2) Focus on the flame and allow your wish/desire come into to mind. See it clearly and then write it (pen and paper) down. It’s important to see it in as much detail as possible and to feel its positive presence as a reality in your life
3) Say the words out loud as a prayer or request to the Goddess of summer and sunshine or to your higher self.
4) Set the paper alight and allow it to safely burn to ash in a dish.
5) Mix the ash into the earth in the pot and plant the seed in the earth and add a little water. Repeat your prayer and express gratitude for a successful outcome.
6) Allow the candle to burn down – symbolically this represents the Sun. You are releasing your wish into the creative void powered by the light and warmth of the energetic season.
7) Nurture the seed to enable it to grow to fruition.
8) Take whatever action you can in real life to aid the energy to positively come to fruition while also nurturing the seed as the manifestation of your wish.
